Textiles
Yuki Tanaka
Yuki weaves with locally grown indigo and traditional backstrap loom techniques learned during years living in Oaxaca. She now grows her own dye plants on a small farm outside Durango, creating textiles that carry the color of the high desert in every thread.
In Their Own Words
"The backstrap loom connects your body to the cloth. You feel the tension in your spine. That physical relationship — between maker and material — is what I want people to feel when they hold my work."
